1. Why should I purchase a Tubspa over an acrylic spa?                                                  Back to Top
The Tubspa will give you a naturally beautiful product that will really enhance your backyard or deck. With 4-feet of height offers you unsurpassed freedom to move around in your tub. With over 30 years experience on the market, the Tubspa is a proven product with so many happy customers. This is why they always recommend the Tubspa to family, friends and even the neighbors.

2. Are the Tubspa's for indoor or outdoor?                                                                    Back to Top
The Tubspa is a great choice for either an indoor or outdoor installation. The construction of the Tubspa is solid and energy efficient for even the coldest and snowiest environments.

3. Can I assemble my Tubspa myself?                                                                         Back to Top
You most certainly can. From start to finish, it will take you approximately six to ten hours to assemble your Tubspa. Our instruction DVD and installation manual provides you with simple, easy to follow instructions about how to install your new Tubspa.

4. What kind of base will I need for my Tubspa?                                                            Back to Top
Answer: The total weight of the hot tub when it's full of water ranges from one ton to five tons. The most popular, the 5-ft round and the 7-ft oval tubs, weigh close to three tonnes when full. You can install them indoors on any cement basement floor. Outdoors, you can install your hot tub on a cement pad, railway ties, patio stones, or on blocks on gravel.

5. How much space will I need for my Tubspa?                                                             Back to Top
Your Tubspa will fit into practically any backyard, no matter how small. In most cases, you can fit it into an existing deck beside a house in a very practical way. Indoors the total space required, including the deckage, ranges from six-feet square, to 10-feet square depending on the size of tub.

6. What size Tubspa should my family consider buying?                                                Back to Top

5' x 3' Oval 2 person
5-ft Round 4-6 person
6-ft Round 6-8 person
6-ft Oval 4 person
7-ft Oval 6-8 person
7-ft Round 8-10 person

7. Will humidity be a problem in my home with an indoor Tubspa?                                  Back to Top
Tubspas come with a roll cover that keeps the moisture in the tub. For the time a Tubspa is used each day it will create as much humidity as a shower. We have many Tubspas in basements with wallpaper and paneling on the walls, carpet on the floors with no problems, and no exhaust fan. During the few muggy days of a Canadian summer, the hot tub can be used without the heater as a "cool pool".

8. What is the cost of electricity for my Tubspa?                                                           Back to Top
This depends on many factors, the wood of the Tubspa acts as an excellent insulator. In addition, heat loss is even less likely if you use a roll cover on top of your hot tub. You can use a hot tub every day at a cost comparable to heating with a domestic water heater. A water heater heats water to 160 degrees and then drains away hot water each time the tap is opened. A Tubspa heats water to about 104 degrees and does not drain away the heated water. Hot tubs are extremely energy efficient, and you can use them twelve months of the year. Your heater also has a time clock option that can be set to help reduce the amount of energy used. Our instruction manual comes complete with some tips to reduce the amount of energy used.

9. What electrical wiring will my Tubspa require?                                                          Back to Top
240V system, with one #8-3 wire with a 40 amp double pole breaker with GFCI.

10. How do I keep the water in my Tubspa clean?                                                         Back to Top
Each Tubspa comes with a two-speed pump, a cartridge filter to keep the water clean, and an adjustable heater. You will only need to use a small amount of chemicals to keep your hot tub clean.

11. How often should I change the water in my Tubspa?                                               Back to Top

Normally, you should change the water in your hot tub two to three times per year. This is easily done, the tub is filled with a garden hose, and drained the same way. A Tubspa is not connected to your house plumbing.

12. How much water does a hot tub need?                                                                  Back to Top

The capacites of the various tubs are as follows:

Shape Width Height Gallons
Oval 5' x 3-ft 40" 200
Round 5-ft 4-ft 400
Round 6-ft 4-ft 600
Round 7-ft 4-ft 1000
Oval 7 x 5-ft 4-ft 600

In comparison, an average swimming pool contains about 25,000 gallons of water. Watering your lawn for one hour would have filled the average Tubspa.
